Deaf Awareness and Communication Tactics
People who are Deaf and hard of hearing face difficulties in their everyday life. They can struggle to understand people and make themselves understood. This can lead to the person feeling isolated and often depressed. The situation is even worse for those who have a dual sensory loss; deafness and blindness.
Learning a little about deafness and a few simple tips for improving your communication can make a world of difference to a person with a hearing loss. This is particularly important if you work in a customer service role as the key to providing a good service is communication.
Deaf Direct provides deaf awareness and communication tactics training to suit any requirement. .
We offer training sessions from just one hour up to two full days, depending on your individual or organisational needs.
Sessions are delivered from our 3 training centres in Oxford, Hereford and Worcester or arrangement can be made to deliver them at a location of your choice.
