Tour of the Pyrenees Bike Ride – 9th-15th July
Want a tougher challenge? Want to take a holiday this year but do something out of the ordinary? Take part in this 7 day bike tour based on the Cols used in the Tour de France amongst the mountains of the French Pyrenees and experience a holiday like no other.
The tour includes 5 days of cycling and starts in the well-known religious centre of Lourdes, cycling through many French towns before finishing in the Spa town of Vernet les Bains where you will be able to unwind after your impressive journey.
The route is approximately 311 miles and the mountain passes add up to 20,227 meters in height. You therefore need to be a keen cyclist with a good level of fitness to complete the challenge.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do something extraordinary while raising funds for a local charity – make sure you add it to your bucket list!
The cost of the challenge is £745.00 including a £300 non-refundable deposit. This does not include travel to and from the airport or medical insurance.
Participants are responsible for paying the cost of the trip themselves. We do ask each participant to raise as much money as they can for Deaf Direct in sponsorship money on top of this. We will give you a free Deaf Direct technical t-shirt for taking part in the challenge and support along your fundraising journey.
