Ruth’s Leaving Do
The staff and Trustees at Deaf Direct Oxford gave Ruth Waddle an enjoyable send-off as Ruth is stepping down from her current role as a Volunteer. Ruth has been associated with the Oxford Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre for many years – over eight years within her role of Volunteer then since the beginning of the 1960s in her working professional capacity as a Social Worker.
Everyone at Deaf Direct wishes to give our appreciation to Ruth for providing Deaf Direct many hours of processing, labelling and thoroughly organising the Oxford Deaf Centre archives. Thanks to Ruth, the many people that have worked and passed through the Deaf Centre will be remembered within the many photographs and newspaper articles plus official documents that Ruth has conserved.
Everyone at Deaf Direct wishes Ruth all the very best for her future adventures.
