Outreach Worker, Oxford
|Deaf Direct has an exciting opportunity for a new Outreach Worker to join our thriving Outreach Team. You would be working one to one in Oxford providing support, in the home or out in the local community, to a client who has a dual sensory loss. The support is provided to enable clients to develop and/or maintain an independent lifestyle.
Part-time – 12 hours per week – 3 sessions of 4 hours (days to be agreed with successful candidate)
You will have the necessary skills and experience to provide support services for deaf and deafblind sign language users in a wide variety of community based settings. You must be flexible in your approach and committed to playing a role in the ongoing development of your skills and the team. The ability to work independently whilst being part of a supportive team is essential.
Deaf Direct have established support services committed to providing high quality, professional workers to empower our local deaf communities. You will benefit from the policies, procedures and training that are in place to support, protect and develop staff members. In addition there are 23 days (pro-rata) paid holiday plus bank holidays, full expenses and a pension plan.
A DBS (previously CRB) Disclosure will be requested in the event of being offered the position.
