Our Interpreters are Registered
|I have received my NRCPD Trainee Sign Language Interpreter Badge!
As many of you know, my job title is PA/Communicator to the CEO. I am working towards becoming a fully qualified interpreter, and part of that process involves being registered on the National Register of Communication Professionals for the Deaf (NRCPD).
NRCPD Registered communication professionals are recognised across the country for their high standards, professional conduct and commitment to ongoing development. Individuals who are training to become a registered communication professional can apply to become an NRCPD Trainee, which provides a regulated environment in which they can complete their training safely.
This proves that they are appropriately qualified and committed to professional standards of practice.
I am delighted to be able to use my skills in the workplace and have the support of our interpreting team. All of Deaf Directs interpreters are registered with NRCPD.
