Facilitator Sue Lewis, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, will lead to explore interpreters’ inter- and intra-personal issues to help strengthen their emotional resilience pre, post and during an assignment. Group discussions will question, how does an interpreter protect their reputation and their mental wellbeing when emotions within an assignment become tense? Plus working within the constraints of the code of practice, how does an interpreter express professional compassion but still remain detached?
This workshop is a unique opportunity for interpreters to gain CPD points whilst providing a whole load of wonderful networking and peer support time!
