We are excited to tell you that we held our first rehearsals for the new singing and sign language choir on 13th September. Marilyn Middleton Mellor, an experienced singing teacher who is also a jazz, rock and folk singer, is leading our singers, and Deaf Direct’s very own Donna Rubin and Laura Cutting are leading our signers. All choir leaders have very kindly agreed to give up their time free of charge and we are grateful for their support.
Everyone had a great time at both the singing and the signing rehearsals and we are working towards our first performance, which will be at the Victorian Fayre Opening Ceremony in Worcester on 24th November. We will also be performing at the Victorian Fayre on 26th November at 2pm and 3pm, alongside our usual Christmas Carol volunteers. We will be performing somewhere along the High Street, but our location is yet to be confirmed. Do come and support us if you can on 26th as it’s going to be a great event!
We also have performances planned for 2017 so watch this space for future events!
For any queries about the Choir, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we hope to see you at our performance on 26th!
