A team from Deaf Direct has worked with Healthwatch Worcestershire and the Care Quality Commission’s Primary and Integrated Care Team to ensure GP surgeries understand the needs and experiences of patients with a hearing impairment. The work was so crucial it was mentioned in a national Healthwatch Publication – Care Quality Commission and local Healthwatch: Working together in primary and integrated care.

I am now doing level 2 and hoping to do level 3 – through this I have met Deaf/hard of hearing people and spoken to them. 2. I helped to volunteer for a Deaf charity at an information stall in a hospital.
