Social Groups - Oxford

- Oxfordshire Deaf Children's Society
- Affiliated with the National Deaf Children’s Society, providing opportunities for families to meet and help each other. There is a regular get-together for all ages. Activities include camping, basic video making, bowling and parties.
- Friends of the Young Deaf
- A mixed communication group for young people aged 16 – 25. The youth group meets in the Deaf Centre on the third Saturday of each month and have the benefit of all the facilities in our newly refurbished lounge!
- Oxford Deaf Sports and Social Club
- Meets regularly on the first and third Friday of every month from 7.30pm—11.00pm. The group enjoys a whole host of social activities, including a very popular German Whist night.
- Oxford and District Club for the Hard of Hearing
- A mixed social group of people with impaired hearing. The club meets every Wednesday at 2.30pm and participate in a range of activities and outings and welcome guest performers.
- Oxford Diocesan Council for the Deaf
- Works in conjunction with associated professional bodies to reduce isolation, arrange informal visiting and provide opportunities for worship, pastoral care and social recreation. Regular church services are held in the Centre’s own Chapel at 3pm on the second and fourth Sunday of every month.
