Change of opening times - Hereford centre

Deaf Direct services in Herefordshire have been affected by Local Authority cuts and due to this we have to reduce the opening hours of our centre in Broad Street, Hereford.

A drop-in service will be available Mondays, 10am - 2pm (excluding Bank Holidays.)

FREE Beginners Lipreading Course in Worcester

Friendly and informal group, helping you to build communication and regain confidence.

Starting Tuesday 28th May, 10:30 - 12:30pm for 10 weeks, at Deaf Direct Worcester, Vesta Tilley House, Lowesmoor, Worcester, WR1 2RS.

Worcester charity urges public to help Deaf athletes achieve their dream

2012 was a great year for British sport with the London Olympics and Paralympics showing the world what British athletes can do.

But what most people don’t know is that 2013 sees another Games taking place - the Deaflympics.

At this moment in time, there is a real danger that Great Britain will not be able to raise the funds to send a team to Sofia, Bulgaria this summer and local charity Deaf Direct is calling upon Worcestershire citizens to help.

Trustee Vacancy at Oxford Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre

The Oxford Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre provides a range of services including communication, training, Support Work, support groups, Children and Family Services, an Information Service, and campaigning.

Our board is currently compromised of 6 trustees; to broaden our skills mix we are looking to recruit a new trustee to join our lively and interesting discussions.
